2026 LA Times Festival of Books
Thursday, April 30 at 2:30 PM on KPFK 90.7 FM: This week I play short conversations with terrific folks I met and recorded at the nation’s biggest annual books festival. I once again walked the campus of USC and interviewed representatives of five of my favorite groups. This year I taped short conversations with volunteers and staffers from the Los Angeles Historical Society, Alta journal, PM Press, Heyday Books, and Unnamed Press. Of course, you’ll hear the jolly background sounds of conversation and music as 150,000 attendees stroll by.
