Bibliocracy Radio

is a weekly books culture interview show on Pacifica Radio KPFK 90.7 in Southern California hosted by Santa Monica Review editor Andrew Tonkovich. The half-hour program features readings and conversation from and about contemporary fiction, nonfiction, poetry, political and cultural criticism. Recent guests include Venita Blackburn, Amber A’Lee Frost, Karen Joy Fowler, Jerry Stahl, Daisy Pitkin, Keenan Norris, Terena Elizabeth Bell, Yxta Maya Murray, Tom Zoellner, poets Boris Dralyuk & Gustavo Hernandez, Corey Robin, and the authors of the landmark A People’s Guide to Orange County.

Andrew Tonkovich

is the longtime editor of the Santa Monica Review and founding editor of Citric Acid: An Online Orange County Literary Arts Journal of Imagination of Reimagination. He is the author of two fiction collections and co-edited, with Lisa Alvarez, the landmark literary anthology Orange County: A Literary Field Guide (Heyday). He has published fiction, reviews, and journalism in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Los Angeles Times, Ecotone, Juked, Faultline, ZYZZYVA, and Best American Nonrequired Reading.
